Candy Queen Store is a new T-shirt concept that caters to girl’s ages 5 – 12 years. We produce a collection of alternative T-shirts and edgy changeable ICONS that attach to our clothing. Our unique ICONS allow Candy Queen girls to personalise their clothing and to creatively express their individuality.
Our Candy Queen Store pick n mix philosophy is the first children’s clothing brand of this nature.
All ICONS are limited editions and of non-toxic and washable fabrics which are for children’s safety and are environmentally friendly.
Candy Queen Store work alongside their manufacturer who employ single mums, housewives, and the disadvantaged by providing productive jobs and helping members of the local community earn a steady or extra income for their families.
Our products can be found online and through independent retailers.
History
Candy Queen Store developed in 2009 whilst living in Asia for 4 years with my family.
Jaded with the lack of clothing choices for my kids and inspired by an abundance of little dudes donning Crocs (customisable foot wear) I saw an opportunity for the same idea only for clothing.
With no idea how I was going to do this I spent many months developing and playing around with different designs, materials and attachments. I stumbled across a little shop that produced beautiful and delicately made toys. Armed with my sketches I approached their manufacturer to adapt their craftsmanship to my designs and went into production.
Uncertain how to ever convey what was in my head with manufacturers, suppliers, branding agencies and consumers, Candy Queen Store has finally defined it’s own uniqueness…pick n mix clothing for girls!
